How may I visit the House?

Are bathrooms available?

Accessible public restrooms can be found in the Amenity Building at the Upper Parking Lot and in the House during scheduled tours and events.

Is there a restaurant on site?

No, but guests are invited to picnic on the grounds.

May I camp on site?

Tents and overnight stays are not permitted. Portable speakers, generators, campfires, camp stoves, and large coolers are prohibited.

May I bring my pet?

Yes, leashed pets are allowed on the Grounds; however, only service animals are permitted inside the House.

May I stage a photo or video shoot?

Visitors are welcome to take personal photos of the Grounds and exterior of the House. Professional, commercial, and artistic photography must be scheduled and approved in advance. To inquire, click here.

Are the House and Grounds accessible?

Yes, our ADA-compliant All Persons Trail leads from the Upper Parking Lot to the accessible entrance in the House’s Forecourt. Please note that most other trails and terrain are very steep. Visitors are advised to exercise caution. The main floor of the House is accessible, however, the second floor can only be reached via stairs.

May I picnic on the Grounds or Verandah?

Yes, families and small groups are welcome to have informal picnics on the grounds unless an area has been previously reserved for a private event. Groups of eight or more must schedule an Event Rental; click here to learn more. Catered meals, portable speakers, generators, campfires, camp stoves, and large coolers are prohibited without prior approval.

May I have an elopement ceremony on the Grounds?

All weddings and group events must be scheduled and approved in advance. Pop-up events are not permitted.

Is this a public park?

The Eugenia Williams House is owned and operated by a private, nonprofit foundation. Visitors are very welcome! Please note that our opening hours and restrictions differ from those of a public park. Please contact us with any questions.

Visitor Code of Conduct

The Eugenia Williams House aims to be light on the land and uphold the dual tenets of historic preservation and land stewardship. We ask that our visitors help care for the property's natural and built environments by leaving the site and buildings as they found them.
To protect the restoration of the Grounds, please stay on trails and refrain from climbing trees.
No Cigarettes, e-cigarettes, or chewing tobacco
No firearms
No illegal activity of any kind
No motorized vehicles on trails or paths
No open flames
No camping, fishing, and swimming
Leashed pets are welcome on the grounds.

Personal photography is welcome. Commercial, professional, and artistic photography produced for financial gain requires prior approval.
Anyone who violates the preceding provisions may be asked to leave the property.
